NBAA Annual Conference-2010-Day 3

Day three has been predictable.  Many of the attendees showed up with their bags, ready to go to the airport after noon.  The convention floor foot traffic was also typically lighter than on days one and two, but about typical for most day-three attendances of the past.  Most exhibitors visited other booths throughout the day.

The only notable announcement was by Sikorsky.  They have agreed to a significant minority stake in Eclipse.  At this point the money is not about restarting production.  It is more about funding continuing efforts which may eventually lead to a restart.

In general, everyone thinks that the worst are behind us.  No one is expecting a return to a market like 2007-2008 any time soon, but most companies in business aviation are in fairly good health.  They are hoping for a steady improvement in the market over then next several years and believe that they are well positioned to make the best of it.
