Opportunities for Material Usage in Key Renewable Energy Projects in South Africa

This study focuses on three categories of materials, namely, semi-conductors, heat transfer fluids, and stainless steel that are used in solar renewable energy projects. The aim is to provide the reader with an understanding of technological developments within these three categories of materials and opportunities for their use in South Africa. An overview of South Africa's renewable energy targets, projects, and challenges in these fields are also provided.
