Business expansion and transformation process also in the mid-market
One of the main topics ICT providers are focusing on regards to transformation processes many enterprises are passing through. These transformations and growth engagements are main drivers for the acquisition of new technologies such as business analytics solutions, cloud computing, collaboration tools, among others.
Nevertheless, this transformation process is not something exclusive to the large enterprise segment. Leveraged by a stable political landscape and a promising economic situation, mid-market companies in Brazil have aggressive short term growth plans, with changes that are expected to transform their businesses processes.
At a recent survey conducted with over 90 mid-market companies in Brazil (enterprises with annual revenues between $1 million to $100 million) approximately 70 percent of the companies stated that they are likely to implement business transformation actions over the next two years in order to achieve a long term growth sustainability.
Within the top three short term growth plans of the mid-market segment over 55 percent of the companies have a goal to reach a growth above 10 percent during 2011 and 2012; over 40 percent has stated plans of infrastructure and facilities expansion; and approximately 30 percent has affirmed clear plans to expand business towards other cities and countries.
This is just a preliminary content of the upcoming Frost & Sullivan study on mid-market cloud computing adoption in Brazil in which it was also analyzed transformation processes crossing with technology acquisition.
As soon as the study is published, I’ll post more insights here!
