Next Generation (Fibre) Networks in Western Europe

Next generation (fibre) networks are still in the nascent stage in many European countries. Factors such as regulation, competitive environment, geography, technology evolution, investment potential, and consumer demand contribute to the deployment of fibre. This study analyses these factors and examines the market drivers and restraints for fibre deployment in the major five western European countries: France, Germany, Italy, Spain, and the United Kingdom.
