After solid growth in 2011, the global videoconferencing endpoints and infrastructure market slowed in the first quarter of 2012. Revenue dropped quarter over quarter, raising the question of whether videoconferencing can return to the phenomenal climb it saw previously. Despite dismal Q1 results, video is expected to continue to be the next-generation mode of communication, with the bulk of the market open for entry. Furthermore, the face of videoconferencing is quickly changing.
