Analysis of Venture Capital Investment Trends in European Application Software, Systems Software, Technology Hardware, and Equipment Industries

This study analyses venture capital investment trends in the European information and communication technology (ICT) industry. Private placement transactions from January 2006 to December 2011 have been analysed as part of the study. The study discusses the European VC activity with a focus on the ICT industry. After examining the mega trends and their implications for investors, the study also analyses the pitfalls and opportunities for VC in the technology hardware and equipment, application software, and Systems software sectors.
