On September 22, 2004, Frost & Sullivan honored industry leaders for outstanding performance and achievements in mobile and wireless communications at its first annual Excellence in Mobile Communications Awards Banquet held in Las Vegas, NV.
The banquet recognized companies that are predicted to encourage significant growth in their industries and have helped to improve everyday life. The Award recipients have identified emerging trends before they became the standard in the marketplace and have created advanced technologies that will catalyze industries in the near future. Mobile Enterprise Magazine, co-host of Mobilize 2004 and the Awards banquet, presented its Mobilizer Awards as well.
Krishna Srinivasan, President of Frost & Sullivan, remarked on the importance of Frost & Sullivan’s Excellence in Mobile Communications Awards in his welcome speech. "While many challenges face the Mobile Communications Industry, the companies in this room represent the solutions to all of these challenges. I am proud that Frost & Sullivan is able to identify the companies who are changing and growing this industry and to recognize their tremendous dedication and innovation in each of their respective markets."
A CEO Roundtable Discussion preceded the banquet earlier that day, moderated by Frost & Sullivan’s Vice President of Information & Communications Technology Practice, Joe Fristensky. During the CEO Roundtable Discussion, panelists answered a variety of questions focused on the challenges of succeeding in a demanding economy. An open networking session followed, allowing the recipient companies to develop and strengthen business relationships with each other.
