Time: 2:00-3:00 (PM), ET
11:00-12:00 (AM), PT
Benefits realized: The business drivers for mobile applications include providing greater visibility into what field staff are doing, lowers the costs of those activities and increases the productivity and effectiveness of the mobile work force
Business process impact: Companies are spending millions to integrate end-to-end business processes and yet many of those systems are unavailable when the workforce is in the field. This undermines the investment in these systems and the productivity of the field force.
Technical architecture considerations: Pure play mobile application software providers, with the right architecture, can align with existing enterprise software infrastructure while delivering the benefits promised by mobile technology innovation.
Risk mitigation strategies: Large enterprises can drive risk out of their projects by working with vendors to provide limited scope production deployments that permit mobile applications to be validated in terms of business value and technical viability.
Business performance metrics (ROA, ROI, etc.): Successful projects are tracking (1) uptake in use on mobile v. laptop application (2) price/quote/order cycle times (3) customer visits/call completions per rep and other quantitative metrics for ensuring the success of mobile business applications.
