In the magical world of manufacturing, every step is a mystery and every product a miracle. To celebrate this amazing process and the people behind it, The Economic Times launches the India Manufacturing Excellence Awards (IMEA), in partnership with Frost & Sullivan. The country’s largest on-site audit of manufacturing practices, benchmarked against global standards.

Conceptualized and incepted in 2004 by Frost & Sullivan, IMEA has a robust, highly acclaimed and constantly updated assessment process in place derived from the best global manufacturing practices. Being the only one of its kind in India, IMEA has over the years increasingly received the reputation of being an unbiased and credible evaluation of supply chain efficiencies with respect to their leanness and flexibility.

W.e.f. 2009, Frost & Sullivan and The Economic Times have collaborated to jointly host the India Manufacturing Excellence Awards. This partnership will further establish India Manufacturing Excellence Awards’ position as the benchmark for Indian manufacturing excellence. Henceforth, the manufacturing fraternity shall refer to it as The Economic Times India Manufacturing Excellence Awards in partnership with Frost & Sullivan.

Frost & Sullivan will continue to be solely and exclusively responsible for all assessments and jury recommendations. With this partnership, The Economic Times will draw more attention to India’s manufacturing competitiveness, as it holds its own in the global manufacturing sweepstakes. Over the years, The Economic Times has elevated itself from being an economic and business daily to a knowledge platform and essential reference about Indian business, polity, economy and finance.

The Super Achievers of The Economic Times India Manufacturing Excellence Award will compete at the Asia Pacific level with the Super Achievers of Frost & Sullivan’s Manufacturing Excellence Awards in China, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia; the “best of the best companies” will be recognized at Frost & Sullivan’s Asia Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2009..
