To recognize and applaud efforts of manufacturing companies towards achieving excellent-to-world class manufacturing status, Frost & Sullivan constituted the Asia Manufacturing Excellence Awards.

These awards acknowledge the facilities that have not just achieved but also sustained manufacturing excellence.

The program is designed to not only recognize and applaud manufacturing and supply chain excellence but also allows companies to benchmark themselves against the best in the manufacturing arena.

The AMEA mission is “to stimulate, catalyze and assist the adoption of Lean Manufacturing practices across promising Asian nations, so as to enhance their global competitiveness through healthy competition and benchmarking”.

Manufacturing Excellence Awards (MEA) has already been conducted in India, Malaysia and China and this year will see the launch of MEA in Thailand and Indonesia. The “best companies” from these countries will be certified and recognized under the aegis of AMEA 2009.
