By V Sankaranarayanan, Industry Analyst, Sensors & Instrumentation, Frost & Sullivan,

Could you please give me an overview of Augusta Systems?

Patrick: Basically, our company provides platform technologies that allow for integration and normalization of data, events and control functions from sensors, devices, systems and applications. The end result is that we are able to converge more data and control functions onto a network and then allow for the configuration, on a distributed basis, of rules, policies and actions. If you want processing and filtering of data, our technologies can be configured to do that. If you want automated functions or semi-automated functions, our technologies provide the core platform to do that. As an end result, we are basically the enabler of security convergence, smart buildings, smart grids, and the whole host of smart functions that both private-sector entities and governments are looking at today.
