A healthcare product and service company’s supply chain is one of its most vital assets, so why do most discussions around strategic growth for these firms focus on new product development, corporate acquisitions and corporate restructuring? Frost & Sullivan, the international growth consulting and research firm, believes the supply chain represents one of the most important yet under-appreciated sources of competitive advantage that companies can capitalize on, but only if companies can find the right allies to bring innovative solutions to their customers. Seventy-eight percent of healthcare products companies surveyed by Frost & Sullivan stated an effective supply chain was extremely important for the company to compete in the future.

Frost & Sullivan administered a survey to high-level healthcare products and services executives attending the FedEx 2014 HealthCare Solutions Executive Forum October 28-29, 2014 in Miami.
