The Cloud Computing Act came into effect in September 2015. It encourages cloud adoption in the public sector, and provides support for SMBs that provide cloud services. There has been a flurry of activity by global cloud computing companies seeking to expand their presence in South Korea, which is, in turn, serving as a catalyst to attract other cloud providers to do so as well.
