Abstract:
The global CCUS market is expected to grow at an exponential rate and will play an important role in driving the energy transition and decarbonization strategies in coming years. In order to meet the Paris agreement and reach Net-Zero emissions by 2050, we need to remove 1.6 Gt of CO2 by 2030, which is the equivalent of removing 300 million cars from the globe. CCUS is a proven technology that will play a massive role in the decarbonization of many industries. It can be retrofitted to existing power and industrial plants which otherwise could emit 600 billion tonnes of CO2 over next 5 decades. Innovations and developments in technologies are key to bringing down the cost of capture. This has motivated more than 145 start-up companies to invest in this family of technologies, as well as many steps from industry giants. Join us for a presentation where we will be sharing our key insight on key growth opportunities for CCUS, as well as major trends in technology, region, industries and companies.

Agenda:

  • Contribution of CCUS in achieving Net-Zero emission
  • Implications of Policy and Regulations in attainment of CCUS strategy
  • Comparing technological advancement and development
  • Utilization vs Storage – Which makes more sense in the long-term
  • CCUS hubs and clusters and important equation of infrastructure
  • Which region/countries will contribute to the long-term success
