Jay works in the currency of the future at the center of human and computer intelligence. As a product management leader specializing in knowledge systems, Jay helps people and organizations transform the way they work, learn faster, and rapidly translate that learning in to action to remain competitive in the face of unprecedented disruption.
At USAA, Jay leads the knowledge architecture experience where his team is responsible for maximizing human potential through ensuring the most valuable knowledge is readily available throughout the organization. Prior to this, Jay was a product manager and led operations teams for knowledge management at Expedia, Inc where he was also the program’s agile, lean start-up, and design thinking practice. He began his career in information and technology as a military Intelligence analyst.
In addition to his day job, Jay is a sought-after speaker and consultant in innovation, knowledge management, and product development and design. He has consulted for organizations ranging from small start-ups and large enterprises to the U.S. Air Force. He also applies his skills to research and teaching and has a passion for enabling the next generation of future technologists.
Jay is a life-long learner and has several advanced and undergraduate degrees in the fields of business, technology, and information science. A few of the institutions Jay studied at include the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, Cornell University, and Harvard University. He holds also holds numerous professional designations and is an honor graduate of the U.S. Army Intelligence School.
Professional Summary: April Bertram is the Business Development Director of SmartLink Solutions at GOJO Industries. April joined GOJO in 2002 to lead the product development efforts for the Healthcare vertical market. Since then, she has reinvented the GOJO innovation process, from the front end of innovation, to market and product development, through to strategic portfolio management. Most recently, April was tasked with creating new IoT business models in healthcare, commercial building and other core vertical GOJO markets. She develops and cultivates new partnerships in emerging ecosystems to support strategy execution. April holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication and an Executive Masters of Business Administration. She has earned a GE Green Belt Six Sigma Certification, Innovation Engineering Black Belt Certification, a Certificate in Strategic Design Capability and the VentureWell Lean LaunchPad Facilitator. She has written a number of publications on product innovation and IoT, including several for the Frost & Sullivan Quarterly eBulletin. Prior to her role at GOJO Industries, April was a small business owner and served in Product and Market Development positions for market-leading brands for The Hygenic Corporation (TherabandTM and Biofreeze), GE Lighting and CompuServe Network Services/UUNet. A serial intrapreneur, Paul Campbell is currently Chief Innovation Officer at the Silico Valley Innovation Center for WL Gore & Assoc. Well known for waterproof, breathable GORE-TEX® fabric, the company’s portfolio includes everything from high-performance fabrics and implantable medical devices to mobile, automotive and aerospace electronics.
Prior to joining WL Gore, Paul successfully built new businesses that generated billions in revenue for companies like Hewlett-Packard, Philips Electronics, Schneider Electric, and technology startups in Silicon Valley. These businesses created a stunning portfolio of award-winning products that enabled corporations to enter new markets and strengthen their images as innovation and design leaders. Thanks, in part, to Paul’s leadership these companies earned spots on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies List. All total, Paul has helped companies earn a spot on the list in four of the first ten years that Fast Company has published its Most Innovative Companies List.
Paul is an advisor to the World Economic Forum, the European Commission and numerous accelerators/incubators around the globe. Allyson is the Global Marketing Director of Artificial Intelligence and Analytics Solutions at GE Healthcare. In her role, she is responsible for the strategic direction and execution of all global marketing functions.
A highly adaptable marketing executive with over 15 years’ experience, Allyson has worked internationally with successful global brands. At IBM, she directed globally influential teams, providing integrated marketing programs and strategies to increase awareness and revenue. With 360training.com, a B2B and B2C training marketplace, Allyson led a global marketing and ecommerce team focusing on brand awareness and growth campaigns, exceeding annual targets by 200 percent in 2015. Most recently, at an information technology consulting firm known as Trianz, Inc., Allyson developed and implemented global omni-channel marketing strategies responsible for exceeding revenue goals by 22 percent.
Allyson holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing from Christopher Newport University as well as a Master of Business Administration from Texas A&M University.
Sean is a 22-year veteran of Nike. He has played a critical role in bringing many technologies to market including: Flyknit, Flywire, Lunar foam, VaporMax, the Renew Collection and 4% effort.
Some of the most notable roles at Nike include VP of Nike Running, Creative Director for the Olympics and VP Design & Innovation Converse. Sean is the founder of Fountain Design – a product design agency that specializes in complex problem solving, discovering new market opportunities and bringing a fresh perspective to businesses.
Sean is an industrial designer with a long track record of bringing award winning products to market. He has over 50 patents for new inventions and is known for solving complex problems with beautifully elegant solutions. His products are featured in the Smithsonian Museum and MoMA.

Nias Puthenveettil is Senior Director of Technology and Innovation at Cerner Corporation. He has more than 20 years of global medical devices and healthcare industry experience in three continents. Over the years he worked on development of several medical devices at Siemens, including Computed Tomography (CT), Angiography, Interventional Radiology and Cardiology imaging systems and clinical applications. At Cerner is currently responsible for development of large scale ambulatory and acute care healthcare information systems and analytics applications. He is also and Adjunct Professor of Business at Penn State University, teaching Management Information Systems.
Nias holds a master’s degree in computer science & engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology and MBA in Strategy, Marketing & Finance from Kellogg School of Management – Northwestern University.

Theresa Scheuble is a Design Director in Value Chain Quality for Johnson & Johnson. She is an expert on combination product requirements and considerations supporting all segments of J&J. Prior to her role in J&J Enterprise she was Head of the Combination Product Drug Delivery Systems Development for the East Coast team in Janssen a Johnson & Johnson Company. While at Janssen, Theresa was responsible for Combination Product Device development for 26+ programs, including 3 delivery platforms, 5 proprietary devices in development, and 4 novel drug delivery technologies. She has also led Cross-Sector Initiatives with the Pharmaceutical and Medical Device Sectors. Theresa has been with Johnson & Johnson for 23 years, working in all Sectors of J&J with 18 years specifically in the Medical Device Sector. She has launched greater than 20 portfolio enhancing products within J&J. She also has experience in the Automotive and Aerospace industries.
Sri is a serial intrapreneur and a business leader with a track record of incubating, building, growing and managing businesses in a worldwide capacity. He has lived and worked in Asia, Europe and the U.S. and understands the idiosyncrasy of international business. He is a product creator, technologist and a marketeer with a razor sharp focus on user experience.
He has founded and created products in Cloud Computing, Wearables, IoT/Smart Homes and recently launched multiple advanced navigation Robots. He was the founder of HP’s Wearables and Cloud/Mobile Printing business; and created Wearables/IOT products for consumer lifestyle brands like Hugo Boss, Coach, Titan, Ferrari, Movado, etc.
He was the former head of all Product and Engineering for Digital Home at Comcast launching Xfinity XFI and scaling Xfinity Home. He was also the Chief Product Officer at SharkNinja responsible for Foodtech and Appliances. He is currently the EVP/GM of the Robotics division at SharkNinja.
In his spare time, he mentors entrepreneur at 500 startups, and loves long distance running.
Matias Meirelles is a Business and Social Entrepreneurship graduate from Rollins College. He works at AdventHealth Innovation Lab Orlando as an experience designer and project liaison. He has been involved in the social impact space for a long time, having interned for both Ashoka and Sistema B (B-lab partner in Latin America) in Brazil and involved with entrepreneurs both in the non-profit and for-profit sectors. A passionate changemaker who has co-founded a battery startup and excited about sustainable and social investments, Matias will always be interested in having a chat about a potential impact business venture or innovation!

My work as a Principal Consultant with Frost & Sullivan’s Visionary Innovation Group (VIG) concentrates on a deep understanding of the socioeconomic, technological, and demographic megatrends that will impact business, government, and societies through the coming decades. Specifically, in my role with VIG, I have worked in areas as diverse as automotive and transportation, financial services, energy, industrial process, public sector, and education. Topics with recently published research include the Future of Work, Gen Z in the US, 5G as an emerging technology investment area, and Smart Cities. At Frost & Sullivan, I am also an active member of GLOW, the Growth & Leadership of Women, program.
Prior to supporting VIG, I worked with Frost & Sullivan’s Growth Team Membership, whose research concentrated on functional best practices in Corporate Strategy, Marketing, and Research & Development. My academic background includes an ABD Ph.D. in English Literature with a focus on Cultural Studies. This concentration has helped infuse my current work with a highly creative and analytical perspective, which I strive to bring to each and every engagement in which I participate.

Cecil B Wiese has been a Project Liaison at the AdventHealth Innovation Lab since 2012. Born in the room directly beneath the AdventHealth Innovation Lab, Cecil has traveled the world, far and wide, in order to end up, full circle, right back where he began. Cecil has a degree in Philosophy from UCF, has taught middle school, worked as a professional craftsman restoring 1955 – 1964 Chevrolets, owns the first FDA licensed Kombucha Brewery in the state of Florida and is always available to perform live background music for your wedding, Christmas party or corporate events!

David Matheson is President and CEO of SmartOrg, Inc. With decades of experience, he has helped senior management in firms around the world improve their results from portfolio management, product development, innovation, R & D, capital investment and strategy. He’s known for finding simple answers to some of the most complicated strategic business issues and is an expert at measuring value and managing uncertainty.
Why does David do what he does? When customers report back to him with 30% improvements in growth or cost reductions, or higher as with the 3X increase in return on innovation experienced by DuPont, David and his team savor the accomplishment of helping customers achieve growth beyond their initial expectations.
He co-authored the bestselling book, “The Smart Organization: Creating Value through Strategic R & D” (Harvard Business School Press) and has authored numerous articles on innovation, portfolio management and decision making. David is a Fellow with the Society of Decision Professionals, an educator in Strategic Portfolio Management, and advises numerous startups. Scott Thielman is CTO and co-founder of Product Creation Studio, a full-system product development consultancy based in Seattle. With expertise leading the development of consumer, medical and industrial products, Scott has participated in all aspects of product design and development for emerging and established global brands including Philips, Johnson & Johnson, L’Oreal, Bose and Lilly.
Scott is an expert at combining cutting-edge technology with engaging, user-friendly design and has been instrumental in bringing numerous innovative products to market at Product Creation Studio. Scott’s leadership has helped client companies garner prestigious awards including the Red Dot Design Award, Good Design Award, I.D. Annual Design Review, Medical Design & Excellence Award (MDEA), and an MD&M West Innovation Prize.
With over two decades of experience as an entrepreneur and product innovation expert, Scott is a recognized thought leader on topics ranging from AI and digital health to strategic product opportunity evaluation and innovation best practices. He serves as a regular speaker for events produced by UBM, Xconomy, Frost & Sullivan, Life Science Washington, Association of Managers of Innovation, and more. He also recently served as a juror for the Medical Design & Excellence Awards (MDEAs) and has authored articles for national publications including Medical Design & Outsourcing (MDO) and MD+DI.
