Fernando Castillo, LATAM Executive Director at CloudHesive, in conversation with Alejandra Parra, Research Analyst, Healthcare IT, Frost & Sullivan.

As organizations across industries accelerate cloud modernization, AI adoption, and digital transformation, CloudHesive is helping customers build secure, scalable, and future-ready technology foundations. In this exclusive Movers and Shakers conversation, Fernando Castillo, LATAM Executive Director at CloudHesive, shares the company’s growth journey, its role in supporting transformation across the United States and Latin America, and its vision for helping customers move from cloud adoption to long-term business value. Frost & Sullivan’s Alejandra Parra spoke with Castillo at HIMSS Argentina 2026 to explore how CloudHesive is helping enterprises modernize critical operations, strengthen resilience, and prepare for the next wave of AI-enabled transformation.

“The question is no longer just how to migrate to the cloud, but how to modernize, reduce complexity, and create measurable business impact.”

— Fernando Castillo, LATAM Executive Director at CloudHesive

CloudHesive’s Growth Journey and Regional Expansion

Alejandra Parra: CloudHesive has built a strong presence in the United States while expanding its footprint across Latin America. How would you describe the company’s growth journey and the role the region plays in its broader strategy?

Fernando Castillo: CloudHesive’s growth has been driven by a clear vision: helping organizations turn cloud technology into measurable business value. We started by building a strong foundation in the United States, working closely with AWS and supporting customers through cloud adoption, migration, modernization, and managed services. Over time, our presence expanded naturally across Latin America, where companies are accelerating their digital transformation and looking for trusted partners who can guide them through every stage of the cloud journey.

LATAM plays a strategic role in CloudHesive’s broader vision. The region is dynamic, innovative, and increasingly mature in its cloud adoption. Many organizations are moving beyond infrastructure migration and are now focused on modernization, data, security, automation, and AI. That creates a significant opportunity for CloudHesive to bring our experience, AWS expertise, and customer-centric approach to markets that are ready for the next phase of transformation.

Our value comes from combining global standards with regional understanding. We know the business realities, regulatory environments, and operational challenges that companies face in Latin America, while also bringing the scale, methodology, and technical excellence of a Premier AWS Partner operating across the Americas.

Advancing from Cloud Adoption to Intelligent Enterprise Transformation

Alejandra Parra: The cloud conversation has evolved significantly in recent years, moving from infrastructure migration to modernization, AI enablement, automation, and measurable business outcomes. How is CloudHesive helping customers navigate this next stage of transformation?

Fernando Castillo: The conversation has definitely changed. A few years ago, many organizations were focused primarily on moving workloads to the cloud. Today, the question is no longer only “how do we migrate?” but “how do we modernize, innovate, reduce complexity, and create measurable business impact?”

CloudHesive helps customers navigate this stage by taking a strategic and practical approach. We start by understanding the customer’s business priorities, operational challenges, and level of cloud maturity. From there, we design a roadmap that connects technology initiatives with business outcomes, whether that means modernizing applications, improving resilience, optimizing costs, strengthening security, or preparing the organization for AI adoption.

AI is a very important part of this evolution, but we believe successful AI initiatives require more than selecting a model. They require the right cloud foundation, data strategy, governance framework, security controls, and operational model. Our role is to help customers move from experimentation to production-ready AI use cases that are secure, scalable, and aligned with business goals.

Simplifying Complex Cloud Modernization Journeys

Alejandra Parra: CloudHesive works with organizations across different markets and levels of digital maturity. What common challenges do customers face when trying to modernize their cloud environments, and how does CloudHesive help address them?

Fernando Castillo: One of the most common challenges is that many organizations have adopted cloud, but their environments are not always optimized for the next stage of growth. They may be dealing with legacy architecture, fragmented data, cost visibility issues, security gaps, or operational complexity. In other cases, companies want to adopt AI or automation, but they first need to strengthen their cloud and data foundations.

Another major challenge is prioritization. Customers often know they need to modernize, but they are not always sure where to start or how to build a roadmap that balances innovation, risk, cost, and speed.

CloudHesive helps by bringing structure and clarity to that process. We assess the current environment, identify gaps, and define a modernization path that is realistic and aligned with the customer’s business objectives. Our teams support customers across migration, application modernization, data and analytics, security, managed services, and AI enablement. This allows us to guide them not only through implementation, but also through long-term operation and continuous improvement.

Unlocking Business Value Through AI, Data, and Cloud-native Innovation

Alejandra Parra: As AI, data, automation, and cloud-native architectures become more central to enterprise transformation, where do you see the greatest opportunities for CloudHesive to create value for customers?

Fernando Castillo: The greatest opportunity is helping customers connect AI and cloud modernization with real business outcomes. Many organizations are interested in AI, but the real value appears when AI is integrated into processes, customer experiences, decision-making, and operations.

We see strong opportunities in areas such as intelligent automation, AI-powered customer experience, data modernization, predictive analytics, and cloud-native application development. In the contact center space, for example, AI can help organizations improve service quality, empower agents, personalize interactions, and reduce operational friction. In other industries, AI can support faster decision-making, operational efficiency, compliance, and innovation.

CloudHesive creates value by helping customers define practical use cases, build the right architecture, and scale solutions securely. We are not focused on AI as a trend; we are focused on AI as a business capability. That means helping organizations create secure, governed, and scalable environments where AI can deliver measurable impact.

Strengthening Security, Governance, and Operational Resilience

Alejandra Parra: Trust, security, governance, and resilience are becoming essential to any cloud strategy. How does CloudHesive support customers as they modernize critical operations and scale securely?

Fernando Castillo: Security and trust are at the center of every cloud strategy we design. As customers modernize critical operations, they need to know that their environments are resilient, compliant, well-governed, and prepared to scale.

CloudHesive supports customers by embedding security and governance from the beginning of the transformation journey. This includes secure cloud architecture, identity and access management, monitoring, compliance alignment, backup and disaster recovery strategies, and ongoing managed services. We also help customers improve visibility and control across their cloud environments, which is essential as workloads become more distributed and complex.

For AI initiatives, governance becomes even more important. Organizations need to manage data privacy, access, model usage, and operational risk. CloudHesive helps customers establish the technical and operational guardrails needed to innovate responsibly while protecting their business, their customers, and their data.

Shaping the Next Chapter of Growth Across the Americas

Alejandra Parra: Looking ahead, what will define the next phase of CloudHesive’s growth, and how do you envision the company’s role in enabling transformation across the United States, Latin America, and other markets?

Fernando Castillo: The next phase of CloudHesive’s growth will be defined by our ability to help customers move from cloud adoption to intelligent, secure, and outcome-driven transformation. Cloud will continue to be the foundation, but the real acceleration will come from data, AI, automation, and modern application architectures.

Across the United States and Latin America, we see organizations looking for partners that can combine deep technical expertise with business understanding. They need guidance not only on technology, but also on how to prioritize investments, manage risk, and build capabilities that create long-term value.

CloudHesive’s role is to be that trusted partner. We will continue expanding our capabilities in AI, data, modernization, security, and managed services, while maintaining the customer-focused approach that has always defined us. Our goal is to help organizations across the Americas modernize with confidence, scale securely, and turn innovation into business impact
