MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. — December 14, 2016 — Frost & Sullivan’s survey of 353 US automotive technicians has again concluded that Interstate Batteries remains the overall best brand. With 46% choosing it as the best battery, Interstate Batteries has remained the industry leader every year since 2007, with at least 45% of automotive technicians choosing it as the overall best brand. In contrast, the nearest competitor has never garnered more than 12% of the votes.

“Almost 74% of technicians in shops that primarily install Interstate Batteries’ products rate it the best brand,” said Frost & Sullivan Program Manager Stephen Spivey. “This combination of top ‘overall best’ rating and strong leadership index score has earned the company the highest Product Leadership Index score, normalized to 10.0, while its competitors have all polled critically low votes.”

As Interstate Batteries has exceptional brand equity, even technicians that work at shops that do not install its products know that it is the industry’s most formidable brand. In fact, 9% of technicians who do not primarily install Interstate Batteries selected it as the overall best.

“In a comparison of technicians’ evaluations of Interstate Batteries and the nearest competitor on 16 specific points, the former leads on most points and is particularly strong on quality, brand reputation, and accuracy of order filling,” noted Spivey.

The technicians who rate Interstate Batteries the best often cited its product longevity and ability to hold a charge. The other popular benefits were the wide variety of options, nationwide warranty, efficient delivery, and outstanding customer service.
